The company grew over the years, with control passing to René’s sons during the 1980s, and Kleman officially launched their authentic French footwear brand in 1988. They first established themselves as a well-known supplier for several French public associations, including the French national railway company, Air France, French Customs, a number of fire departments and the French army.
